Reliability
Q: How official or reliable is your information?

A: The information posted on HKStockInfo.com is prepared from either sources believed to be reliable, or information provided directly by the respective companies. However, NO WARRANTY, expressed or implied, is given that such information is complete or accurate. Please refer to our Disclaimer.
The Press Releases come directly from the companies and are posted with the full text remaining intact.
If the company has an official homepage, and the company instructs HKStockInfo.com to do so, a link may be provided from HKStockInfo.com information sheet to the company's official homepage.

Searching
Q: When searching for Listed Companies, what is the reason why I cannot find Company A under Sector B?

A: All companies are listed (where applicable) under the respective sectors as per the stock exchange they are trading on. Try to search by using the “Company Name” only, and leave the “Sector” blank. Even if you just input the first few letters of the company name, the search result will show all names starting with those letters, or names that include the string of letters. To refine the search, you may select the country where it is trading in.

Q: Why the information provided for Company A is limited?
A: 1.  We are in the process of preparing the respective data, which will be available soon, so please check again.
    2.    The information you see is already all the information available for the company.
We suggest you to contact them by a call or fax and let them know your frustration, and the opportunity they are missing out from not having more data available to you on HKStockInfo.com.

Q: How come I cannot find Company A? I am sure it is a listed company.
A: Try to search under the country where it is trading in, the sector which you think it may be in, or type in a few letters of the company name, (the proper name may not be the one you know it as!). Even if you just input a few letters of the company name, the search result will show all names starting with those letters, or names that include the string of letters. If you still cannot find company A, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Q: Do I have to type in upper and lower case when doing the search?
A: No, HKStockInfo.com search engine is not case sensitive.

Download Data
Q: How do I download the financial data so that I can 'work with the numbers'?

A: We have provided a link at the top of each downloadable file. By clicking it, our computer will start transferring the data to your computer in either Microsoft Words or Adobe PDF format (the format is pre-defined by the respective company providing the information). You will need to select a directory to store these data, and give it a name so that you may retrieve it later.

Free E-mail Alerts
Q: Can I register E-mail Alerts for my friends?

A: Registration on behalf of someone else is not encouraged, unless you have the person's explicit approval to do so. Registration is very simple, with a confirmation E-mail to notify successful registration. Hence, it will be better for everyone to register their own E-mail Alerts.

Q: I've registered for the E-mail Alerts already. How can I update my registration details with a new E-mail address?
A: Please send your request to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Watch Out For...
Q: I’ve downloaded the balance sheet of both Company A and Company B. But there’s only one file found on my computer, what happened?
A:
Most Excel file names of the financial statements are standardized. You may have over written Company A's balance sheet with Company B's one, or vice versa. It will be necessary for you to give every file you are going to download an unique file name, so that you can differentiate each of them.

Q: Will there be virus from the files I download?
A:
Tests have been taken to ensure that files for downloading are virus-free. But then again, the best solution is to install anti-virus program and update it frequently. Always download files in a specifically separate directory, and scan all files before you open any of them.
